Collect Information

First and foremost, call 911 if anyone is injured, or if there is substantial damage occurring due to a fire etc. Once you are out of harm’s way, begin to collect all necessary information pertaining to the claim. You will need information such as:

  • Date and time of the loss
  • Location of incident
  • Third party’s name, address and contact information
  • Third party’s insurance company information and policy number
  • Police report 

Always ensure you write down a detailed description of exactly what happened, and if you can get photos of what happened that’s even better. 

Also, take the necessary steps to ensure no further loss or damage occurs.

Report Your Claim

Once you have collected as much information as possible, it’s time to report your claim. You have a few options: 

  • Call your insurance company’s 24/7 emergency claim number. This can be found on our website or on your policy. 
  • Submit your claim on the All City Insurance website under our claim section.
  • Call your All City Insurance broker who is here to assist you with reporting your claim. 

If you haven’t reported your accident or incident to the police at this time, please do so, and remember to get a police report. As mentioned above, always make sure to prevent any further loss or damage from occurring.

Claim Analysis

Once your claim has been reported, an insurance adjuster will be in touch with you to start the claims analysis process. During this stage, the adjuster will start compiling a file with information pertaining to all lost/damaged property, information on injured parties, appraisals and statements from all witnesses and parties involved.  It’s important to work closely with your adjuster and supply them with as much information as possible when requested. If for any reason during the claims analysis process you are not getting the assistance you require, an All City Insruance broker is here to work with you.

After all analysis is complete, your adjuster will provide you with the claim settlement details. The purpose of insurance is to put you in the same financial position you were in proir to the loss. You may be required to provide receipts if necessary, and your adjuster will provide you with payment, if applicable, at this stage.
